NGO Atelje 22 is thrilled to announce an open call to its very first outdoor festival, which will be held in the historical Montenegrin city of Cetinje. Our vision is to bring together a variety of artists from diverse cultural backgrounds, so they can interact between themselves and the Montenegrin audience and exchange ideas while discovering a new artistic network.
Festival invites artists from entire spectrum of arts to submit their proposals in order to participate and realize their projects within the theme “Re/Shaping The City”.
Eligibility: Local and International
Disciplines: installation art, sculpture, experimental architecture, ambiental art, digital art, experimental film, video art, kinetic art, animation, experimental poetry (visual, sound, gestural, object, etc.) interactive, performance, conceptual art, land-art, body art, space interventions, photography, street art, mail art and other art forms.

Description of the Opportunity:
“Re/Shaping The City” is planned as an interactive international multimedia festival that encourages the creation of passages and events in the public spaces which, with their content, reshape and modify stereotypes, implementing new ways of seeing and thinking. Its main purpose is to create new perspectives and show new ways of thinking and dealing with specified problems that are present in society nowadays. It is intended to be performed in public spaces such as old abandoned houses in the historical part of the city center of Cetinje, Montenegro.
The aim of the festival is to revive old, abandoned buildings located in the historic center of the Old Royal Capital, Cetinje, and offer a new way of perceiving them. The discourse of this festival will be based on issues concerning the evolution of the relationship between new media and previous artistic practices, with an emphasis on man’s relationship with the city. We believe that it is extremely important to provide citizens with the opportunity to experience the place in a completely different way, especially at a time when, as a community, we are facing many difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
